Pendulum Appliance
The Pendulum Appliance is designed to distalize molars to create space for permanent teeth to develop naturally and correct crowding. The appliance is in a fixed position and comprised of bands around the maxillary (permanent first molar teeth). Stainless steel occlusal rest wires sit in the grooves of the bicuspids, composite resin helps anchor the appliance, an acrylic frame sits on the roof of the mouth, and springs are attached to the bands.
