Nance Appliance (Upper only)
This appliance is designed to prevent arch length loss by sustaining the position of the maxillary molars. An acrylic pad covers the wire that touches the roof of the mouth is commonly used to keep the upper molars from drifting forward. It is also frequently used during full banding and bracketing to create an anchorage unit.
