M.A.R.A. (Mandibular Advancing Repositioning Appliance)
M.A.R.A. increases patient comfort by eliminating appliance bulk and tissue irritation in the lower bicuspid area that can occur with other fixed functional appliances. It can be used during a late mix dentition stage of development. The M.A.R.A. can be accommodated with expanders or inactive type of appliances. Advancement can be achieved with the use of spacers.
