Transverse Expander
The Transverse Expander is a simple variation of the basic Schwartz. It has the same basic components as the Schwartz with the following exception: it has two expansion screws instead of one, and an extra pair of Adams Clasps are added. This appliance has the function to expand the arch laterally. The Transverse delivers superior expansion force to the arch. A labial bow and posterior bite blocks are optional.
